Heavy-duty wire stakes are H-wires built for bigger signs and harder conditions. They are made from .19 inch steel with a 9-gauge top goal post, so they hold a sign more firmly than standard wire stakes.

When you need heavy-duty stakes

• Larger yard signs, from 24 x 24 inches up to 24 x 36 inches
• Signs that are set up and taken down again and again
• Windy or harsh weather
• Big directional signs: use two stakes per sign

How to install

Slide the top wires into the flutes on the bottom edge of the sign, then press the bottom wires into the ground.

Wire stakes slide into the flutes of a corrugated plastic sign. When you order your sign, choose the For Wire Stakes option so the flutes run the right way. Signs made for wood stakes or poles will not work with wire stakes.

Which stake fits your sign

• Half-size wire stakes (15 x 10 in): small signs, 12 x 18 in or smaller
• Standard wire stakes (10 x 30 in): most corrugated plastic yard signs
• Heavy-duty wire stakes (10 x 30 in): signs from 24 x 24 up to 24 x 36 in, rough weather, repeated use
• Steel ground stakes (48 in tall): plastic or aluminum yard signs
• Wooden stakes (1 x 2 x 36 in): hard or rocky ground, one-sided signs
