Back to School!

Tuesday, August 9th, 2011

Right now you might be slathering on the suntan lotion and kicking back with a great read on the beach, but it won’t be long until the clamor of the classroom calls you back, and the autumn weather ushers in a new school year.

Prepare now for a banner year ahead

You’ll stand out from all the other teachers when kids walk into your classroom and see a colorful “Welcome back, students!” banner splashed across the blackboard. Or maybe you want to get the whole school in on the act, and unfurl Welcome Back banners in every classroom. Don’t forget the cafeteria!

The more banners you purchase, the lower the cost. And with eighteen sizes to choose among, from a simple 2×5 all the way up to 4×10, banners get the message across loud and clear. Plus, they’re vinyl, which means waterproof, easy to clean, and made to last, so the school can reuse them next fall, and in 2013, and 2014…

Yard signs point the way to school essentials

We also want to acknowledge a host of other community businesses that help schools and children do their jobs: stationery stores and office supply stores, for instance, which sell those essential school supplies. Because even in the computer age, there’s nothing quite like freshly sharpened pencils, shiny new notebooks, and the all-important day pack to hold your smart phone or laptop.

How do you get the word out? Yard signs.

A yard sign lets your customers know your business has all the school supplies they need for their children to be prepared for that crucial first day, and throughout the year.

Yard signs are also a terrific, cost-effective way to announce “Meet the Teacher” nights or “Parents’ Day,” as well as special events to kick off the school year.

So while you’re lazing about (or mowing the lawn, or chauffeuring the kids to swim lessons, or doing inventory…) plan ahead for a school year that’s sure to spell success for your business come September!

Be Easy To Find: Business Cards and Business Card Magnets «

Tuesday, July 26th, 2011

You know the drill: you’ve looked everywhere for that scrap of paper where you jotted down an all-important phone number. If only you’d programmed it into your phone. Oh, how frustrating…

Not if you have a business card magnet

Business car magnets are perfect for home or office. Your customers will probably stick the magnet on their refrigerator door, which means when it’s time to call the vet, the hair stylist, the personal chef service, or any business that delivers to the home, your contact information is right there.

Business card magnets also serve as a reminder to use your service. Your potential customer might be stuck on the exact name of your company, yet be thinking, “Gee, it would be great to see if that family catering place could come up with a creative spread for our family picnic.” On the other hand, if there’s a business card magnet on the fridge or filing cabinet, they’ll be on the phone with you, pronto.

And Business car magnets go hand-in-glove with printed business cards. These days, when websites are becoming as de rigeur as cell phones, it’s easy to overlook a paper promotional product. Yet the best way to help someone you meet at a networking event remember your website is to give them a business card.

While some companies offer standard business card templates, our business card are custom designed, so your card will be as unique as your company. Why blend in when it’s much more beneficial to stand out?

So get your customized business cards and business card magnets- and get more business!

Spinner Signs – High Impact Advertising With A Human Touch

When business is slow, some business owners can go into a tizzy. But instead of spinning your wheels, simply start spinning; this will help a lot.

How’s that again?

Advertising is all about spin. Now you can actually spin it, with spinner signs: durable, double-sided 16×48″ signs made of Coroplast construction that announce your business in full color vinyl glory.

Spinner signs are a superb way to maximize employee productivity during a downturn. Select a gregarious employee to become your human directional advertisement, create an eye-catching spinner sign, and send your employee outside to drive more traffic to your business.

How can a spinner sign help your business thrive? Let your creativity run wild! An accounting office dresses one spinner sign holder as the Statue of Liberty during tax season; another spinner dons an Uncle Sam costume. Real estate professionals might want to dress their spinner sign employee as a house key.

Encourage your spinner to be as imaginative as possible. One spinner sign holder was doing such an amazing dance routine at a busy intersection, drivers stopped at the light were mesmerized — and of course they noticed where his sign was pointing. Talk about human directional advertising!

And because spinner signs are mobile, they’re an ideal form of advertising in cities that have strict ordinances regulating signage. Be sure to check with your city council to ensure your spinner sign conforms to local and state laws regarding size, colors and content.

Then let your employee spin to the beat, and bring in the biz! Rain or shine, with this low an investment, spinner signs are the perfect high impact advertising with a human touch for any size business

Here is a great video to see Spinner Signs in ACTION!!

Marketing for Memorial Day

Monday, May 16th, 2011

Memorial Day Vinyl BannerFor most people, Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer. When you’re stocking up on supplies for cookouts and parties, be sure to plan for those memorable events in other ways: by ordering the signage that signals success.

What are some memorable Memorial Day markers?

• Banners. Yes, of course you want one for the table heralding the annual crab fest or local softball league. But what about your Memorial Day super sale? Banners are durable, washable, and can be seen from quite a distance.

You can be as creative as you like with the design; maybe there’s even a way to tie your business banner into the off-hours fun. After all, business ought to be a blast, right?

• Stickers. Kids love ‘em, and — admit it — you do, too. We never outgrow our fondness for stickers, whether that’s bumper stickers or vinyl decals. What better way to market your Memorial Day extravaganza than with colorful, clever decals that tout your business — and also give people something attractive to display on their car bumper, window, desk, day planner, etc? We’ll help you dream up the perfect design to get your message across in an appealing way.

• Sandwich boards. OK, you’re thinking of food and that upcoming Memorial Day barbeque. But we’re talking sandwich boards, here: those A-frame style signs made of tough polyethylene construction that will draw customers to your special deal like magic. We’ll make them so mouth-watering they’ll want to eat the sign — even if you don’t sell food.

So plan for a memorable start to Memorial Day, by ordering the banners, stickers, sandwich boards and other creative signage that will spell s-u-c-c-e-s-s for your business this summer.

Make Your Charity Known with Car Magnets! «

Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011

People want to give to causes they care about. Yet there are so many demands on our time and attention these days, it’s hard to remember our kids’ names, let alone have the presence of mind to write a check to our favorite charity. And those dinnertime solicitation calls can be a trifle annoying.Car Magnets

One smart solution? Make your charity’s chariot a strong attractor, with vehicle magnets. Custom car magnets can feature your organization’s address, phone number and logo, and they stick right on the vehicle, so you’re spreading the word all over town time every time you drive. Best of all, because vehicle magnets are magnetic, they won’t damage a car’s or van’s appearance in any way — which is good news no matter who the vehicle belongs to, you or the charitable organization.

You can also design car magnets with specific information that changes seasonally. For example, you may choose to have the charity’s name, phone number and logo permanently imprinted on the vehicle, but create car magnets that you switch out to advertise a bi-annual fund drive, or a special event held during the holidays.

Your organization can call attention to its vehicles’ magnetic personality in other media, such as your website or brochure, with a statement like, “Be sure to watch for our vans, sporting the (name of charity) logo and phone number, as you drive about town. We’d be delighted to meet you!” Car magnets thus give you an additional opportunity to connect with potential donors, and broaden your overall reach in the community.

Signs of the Season

Monday, April 11th, 2011

To paraphrase the old Zombies’ song, It’s the sign of the season for … well, you name it! Everything is bursting into bloom now. Yard signs are proliferating along with roses and tulips. Banners are brightening store windows like flower boxes. But both yard signs and banners are so much easier to “plant” and care for than flowers or shrubs. No watering or weeding required!

Ring It Up

After a long dreary winter, people are eager to get out and enjoy beautiful weather again — which means it’s an ideal time for a sidewalk sale. How do you advertise it? With a colorful banner across your storefront: Spring Sale on Now! SupeSale Bannerrb Savings!

Entice customers in the door with an elegant display featuring all of their spring essentials, whether you sell garden hoses or hosiery, hamburgers or hats. Once your affordable, reusable banner beguiles people into your business, they’ll soon be saying, “Ring it up!”

I’ll Vote for That

Or maybe it’s the sign of the season for your favorite political candidate. Yard signs help get out the vote because they make a continual impression: someone who drives or walks by your home or place of business will see that candidate’s name again and again — and when it’s time to head for the polls, they’re likely to color your candidate a winner.

Real Estate SignOf course, spring is also an optimal time to sell your home. Real estate signs point homebuyers in the right direction: toward the house you have on the market. Whether you place a real estate yard sign in your front yard, or use a directional sign to indicate a country property in a more remote location, real estate signs are one of the more ubiquitous signs of the season.

Advertise BIG with Vinyl Banners

Monday, April 4th, 2011

Vinyl. This synthetic resin gave us records (those grooved disks that played music in the prehistoric days before digital downloads), wall and floor coverings, and, of course, banners — the perfect vehicle to promote your business in a major way.

Marketing is essential for your business to survive and thrive. People need to know your business exists before they can come through the door. So generating awareness is the crucial first step. And that’s where vinyl banners come in.

Banners are like crystal clear skies to a pilot: they increase your visibility in a BIG way. Imagine it’s Grand Opening day for your new venture. A vinyl banner sporting the words “Grand Opening” will attract the attentionVinyl Banner of potential customers from far down the road, who might otherwise drive right on by.

Or say you’ve decided to hold a “spring cleaning” sale to clear out last year’s merchandise and make room for the new shipment. Why not place a colorful banner that trumpets, “Easter Week Special: Save Up to 70%!” in your shop window? It’ll draw customers like kids to jellybeans.

And, unlike billboards, banners are portable: you can take them anywhere you need to advertise your business. If you’re planning to participate in a trade show, community fair or sporting event, for example, you can hang your eye-catching vinyl banner from the edge of a table, or even from fences and walls, using grommets.

Vinyl banners are durable, waterproof, and washable. They can be used repeatedly for years, so you don’t need to create a new one for every event. Best of all, vinyl banners are very affordable, and can be custom-made if bought online. And because vinyl banners are made from plastic resin, they’re recyclable as well.

An economical, long-lasting, eco-friendly way to advertise your business BIG? Wow! Vinyl banners really have it all. Maybe next they’ll invent a version that also cleans your office …

Get Your Glow On: Promote Your Business with Neon Signs «

Monday, March 28th, 2011

Andy Warhol once said that in the future, everybody would be famous for fifteen minutes. We all want to shine, to stand out; that’s as true for a small business as for an individual. And there’s a way to get your glow on that will last a lot longer than fifteen minutes: neon signs.Open Neon Sign

Ever since a French company called Neon Claude sold the first set of neon signs to a Los Angeles car dealership in 1923, these “liquid fire” tubes have soared in popularity. Whether you simply want to announce that you’re open for business, or entice customers to sample the fare at your new sushi bar, eye-catching neon signs promote your business in style.

Neon’s high quality, 110 volt UL-listed energy efficient transformers are quiet, cool and long lasting, providing hand-crafted, dynamic visibility day and night. From restaurants to bars to banks, ATMs to hotels to shopping malls, neon offers economical marketing that works: neon signs have an average lifespan of twelve years — even when in use 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

As with all signage, it’s important to make sure you conform to city ordinances. Before you get your glow on, find out whether your town allows internally illuminated signs in store windows. Neon signs may be permitted with certain provisions, such as that they be static, i.e., non-flashing, and that the words of the sign do not “move” across the sign. You may also need to adhere to size restrictions.

Once you have the green light to light up the night (and the day), the fun begins. You can design a neon sign that complements your company logo, uses your company colors, and includes a graphic image such as a pizza to draw hungry customers into your pizzeria for a non-electronic slice. Or you may opt for a basic neon sign that advertises when you’re open. Either way, neon says “now” to your customers, with creative flair.

Follow the Signs to Sell your Home

Monday, March 21st, 2011

When Dorothy set off down the Yellow Brick Road, she wasn’t trying to sell a home, but return to one. Yet the principle is the same: to sell your home, stay on track with a clear focus, and you’ll get where you’re headed.

Real Estate Sign Basics

Whether you’re selling your home yourself or through a real estate agent or broker, one of the first steps is placing a sign in your yard indicating that the home is for sale. If you’re selling your home on your own, your real estate sign will say, “For Sale by Owner.” More common, however, are real estate signs that state the house is being sold through a broker or agent. In this case, the sign depicts the real estate company’s logo and the agent’s name and contact information.Aluminum Real Estate Yard Signs

The Right Direction

Like Dorothy and her Oz-bound companions, you want to point prospective buyers in the right direction. Directional signs are popular on weekends, when the bulk of home shoppers turn out in search of their new abode. Directional signs are placed at intersections to indicate a house that’s for sale up the block, for example, or once you make a left-hand turn.

By the same token, if you live on a remote country property, a directional sign can signal a lovely home for sale a few miles up ahead.

Also, consider where your home is situated vis-à-vis the strategic placement of your real estate yard signs. If you’re in the middle of a block, a single front lawn sign will be visible from either direction. If you have a corner lot, it makes sense to place signage on both streets to reach all prospective buyers as they drive past.

Quality and Content

Durable aluminum signs make the best real estate signs, because they hold up in all kinds of weather. And if your home doesn’t sell right away — or if you have a change of heart and decide not to sell for the time being — an aluminum sign will last for years.

If you’re creating your own real estate sign, make it attractive yet simple: use no more than two colors, such as red on white, which is easy to read and professional in appearance. And be sure to include a contact phone number in boldface.

Yard Signs, Online Tours and Ads, Oh My!

Finally, remember that today real estate agents can usually create a virtual tour of your home, so potential buyers can view your house online. Combining a traditional newspaper ad and virtual tour with real estate yard signs can lead prospects rapidly down the road to your successful home sale.
