We like to be green too!

Monday, October 19th, 2009

Have you ever wondered what happened to the yard signs that don’t make it past our doors? The signs that contain errors, didn’t turn out to be what customers wanted, or just wasn’t of the right quality in the end? Well, if you think we just throw these signs away, you are dead wrong. We do care about the environment and our customers’ pockets, so we put the two together and the result of that is beneficial for everyone.

We recycle these unused signs and resell them at a discounted price. How exactly can we “recycle” signs that have already been printed on, you are probably wondering? Well, first of all, a recycled yard sign is a single-sided yard sign where one side has been printed – but not used. We print your custom design on the blank side, and make the back illegible so no one can read it.

We usually stockpile our recyclable signs and when we have enough for several orders, we’ll put a notice on the front page of our web site that our recycled plastic is available for a lower cost. If you don’t see the notification on our front page, feel free to call your Super Cheap Signs customer service representative at 866-270-7446 to inquire about availability.

Yard Signs Sexy?!?

Friday, October 16th, 2009

My 7 year old boy started using the word ’sexy’.  So he got in trouble with the wife and then I wondered if I should look up the definition.  The first two on the list from dictionary.com have something to do with sex, but #3 is (I hope) what my son had in mind, “excitingly appealing; glamorous: a sexy new car”.

So then, are signs sexy?

Signs get the job done, first.  Then add a little flair and something special and you can call it your own.  But signs by themselves aren’t what makes them cool.  They can be pretty boring, “FREE INTERNET HERE” all by itself doesn’t create much excitement.  You have to add a little more to make it attractive.  Some clip art of someone or something representing your message or product or service can spruce things up.  Remember though, it’s easy to over do the sprucing.  Like a house with too many Christmas lights – becomes overwhelming.

“As you may or may not know we lost one of our band-mates, Jon Pettis, early Friday morning due to smoke inhalation from a freak electrical fire in his home. His Fiancee along with his good friends and roommates lost everything they owned. We are raising money to get everybody who was displaced back on their feet. The Good Word

“Have a bad experience and you’ll tell 10 people. Have a good experience and maybe you tell one”. In light of this often heard customer service slogan, here is a slew of quotes from folks who have had GOOD experiences with us. This is from an internal email our Customer Service Director wrote to spread the good word.
Happy Friday,

This is the first of what I hope will be a regular event where I email customer compliments that we have received.

This inaugural email includes compliments going back to May so if you have seen them already I apologize. If you haven’t seen them, here you go! Great job on getting these compliments from customers; it’s not always an easy thing to do.

“Great service! I will be ordering again here shortly!!!”

“Thank you I receive my signs and they look great you guys are the best.”

“I wanted to thank you for getting me my sign order in time. There were some issues with timing and I certainly appreciate the extra effort that your customer service folks put forth to get my order delivered. Thank you very much – I will not be afraid to use Super Cheap Signs again in the future.”

“Your customer service was excellent – thank you! I think we revised the sign 4 times and you all remained very patient and friendly.”

“I did receive my signs and they were great.”

“Your work is good and I appreciate your help on my project. The site and customer service are exceptional. I’m a customer for life. My sales team has been notified about my design and should be ordering from you also. It’s been a pleasure dealing with your company.”

“I just wanted to thank you for all of you effort on our sign order. The signs turned our great.”

“Thanks, Adrian. Really appreciate the service!”

“It was my first time ordering and it was literally “pain free” and very easy. Great job! The signs arrived when they were supposed to and we are very happy with your service. ‘Til next time. Thanks, Sirli”

“I am highly impressed I will let you know if I can think of anything but you have been really easy to deal with. Thanks, Rich”

“Amazing quality at such a low low price, I wouldn’t change a thing.”

Again-great job.

Thanks. Colin
